This is likely our last update before we head off to TSA Nationals. We have worked hard to make our game much more polished and user-friendly. We have finished up our sabotage system, and made a full UI for the shop. We have also implemented a basic tutorial system that will guide you through the first room and tell you about some things in the rooms. There is a lot of other features to go over with this update, so I will list them here:
- Fully implemented sabotage system (as stated above)
- Basic tutorial system in first room (as stated above)
- Made the simon says puzzle not interactable when displaying code
- Made a new cursor for hovering pickupables
- Text at the bottom of the screen to tell you if something is interactable/pickupable
- Added a best time tracker
- Added flask textures to chemical puzzle and corresponding clues
- Added book textures to bookshelf puzzle and corresponding clues
- Added more book colors to bookshelf puzzle
- Revamped starter room
- Added sensitivity tracker to the bottom left (might move to a settings menu in the future)
We didn't have enough time to finish the third room before Nationals, but we hope to continue work on this game and get it done some time is the future. As usual, if you find and bugs or have any ideas for what features we should add, leave a comment on the game's page!
